Services
No two students are the same, and the same goes for classes and instruction. We offer a variety of options so families and schools can make the right decisions for their readers.
Dyslexia Therapy
Small Group, or One-on-One,
This is for students who have been identified with dyslexia and want to start dyslexia therapy, or want to get an extra boost in certain areas that need improvement. Must provide evaluation. Private dyslexia therapy can also take place at students private school.
Foundational Literacy Classes
Small Group or One-on-One
This class is designed for students ranging from Pre-K to 2nd grade who are at risk for dyslexia, want to get a jump start on reading, or need more practice to develop reading and early literacy skills. We use Scottish Rite’s BUILD program which focuses on letter sounds, phonics lessons, and sight word recognition.
Study Buddy
Private one-on-one help with one of our instructional specialist with math or ELA. Students bring what to study and we will be their learning buddy.
Math Classes
Multiplication Madness is for students needing an extra boost in learning and mastering multiplication facts. 3rd grade students start learning multiplication facts on day one of school so this is an excellent class for 3rd graders or anyone looking to master their facts. We also offer 1:1 private lessons with Ms. Alexis and other teachers who specialize in math.
Sunday Funday Literacy Intensives
This class is for any student who is struggling to read or spell. It is especially ideal for students in the dual language program, but open to all students. Each class will meet with Christine Duffy on Sundays for 60 minutes and follow a structured literacy program. Once you have signed up, you will receive an email with more information on a start date (planned to start in February).
Cursive Lessons
For all students who need or want to learn cursive. You will receive an invoice after you register. Five student max.
TAG Writing
Have students planning to take the TAG School entry test? This class prepares students for the writing portion of the exam. It includes a mock essay writing at the end of the semester. This class is offered in the Fall and goes through January. It then transitions into a creative writing class to continue growing our student’s confidence and writing skills.
Writing Skills
Writing is so important and many students need a lot of help with basic writing skills. We have classes and 1:1 lessons available to help with writing skills.
Private School Dyslexia/Reading Therapy
